Ursula Gordon-Higginbotham, M.Ed., is a distinguished educational leader, ministry executive, consultant, and author whose career exemplifies excellence in leadership, service, and professional development. With nearly three decades of experience spanning education, ministry administration, and organizational leadership, Gordon-Higginbotham has established a reputation for advancing excellence, developing leaders, and strengthening institutions through strategic vision and servant leadership.
A native of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Gordon-Higginbotham was raised in a legacy of faith, leadership, and service. She is the granddaughter of the late Bishop Willie K. Gordon, Sr. and the daughter of the late Bishop Charles H. Gordon and Missionary Wardine Mabry Gordon. Her spiritual foundation was established early in life through active involvement in ministry and a lifelong commitment to Christian service. She is a licensed Evangelist Missionary in the Church of God in Christ (COGIC) and remains dedicated to advancing faith-based leadership and organizational excellence.
Gordon-Higginbotham serves as a senior leader at The Island of Hope Church of God in Christ, where she provides executive and administrative leadership in multiple capacities. At the jurisdictional level, she serves as Senior Executive Assistant to Bishop Prince E. W. Bryant, Sr., General Board Member of the Church of God in Christ and Prelate of the Texas South Central Jurisdiction.
In recognition of her expertise in church administration and leadership development, Gordon-Higginbotham was appointed International Director of Local Church Administrative Staff Development for the Church of God in Christ, Inc. by Presiding Bishop Charles E. Blake, Sr. in 2014 and was reappointed by Presiding Bishop J. Drew Sheard in 2021. In this international leadership role, she oversees the training, development, and professional advancement of administrative personnel serving more than 12,000 congregations worldwide.
Professionally, Gordon-Higginbotham has devoted her career to educational excellence and student achievement. Her extensive experience includes service as a Special Education Teacher, General Education Teacher, Interventionist, Instructional Leader, and Campus Administrator. She currently serves as Principal of Helen Major Elementary School in Spring Independent School District, where she leads initiatives focused on academic achievement, instructional excellence, organizational effectiveness, and student success. She's also served as an Adjunct Professor of Psychology at Houston Community College, contributing to the preparation and development of future professionals and leaders.
As the founder and Chief Executive Officer of The Administratoire, LLC, Gordon-Higginbotham provides leadership development, executive coaching, administrative training, and organizational consulting services to educational institutions, faith-based organizations, and nonprofit entities. Through her consulting work, she equips leaders and organizations with the tools necessary to achieve operational excellence, strengthen organizational capacity, and maximize impact.

She is also the devoted grandmother of five cherished grandchildren: Adaora Deanie, Zionne' Grace, Amara Dea, Reign Joy, and Jire Heir.
